Havillah Shake is a Recycled lumber mill, At your service for over 30 years.
Located in beautiful Okanogan County, north-central Washington State. This rural mill has been a go to for the local community for quality building materials and milling services throughout the years. Founded by Phil Baker in the high country outside the town of Tonasket, then brought down to the valley to become the mill we have today.
Phil has set up a template for preserving what would otherwise have been lost to decay or landfill, making a solid market for the time tested materials so hard to find these days. Our mill provides reclaimed building materials and performs architectural salvage from roof to floor, meeting standards from National Registry of Historic Places to LEED.
Whether you are looking for trim, beams, roofing, or flooring, or perhaps just the right piece of wood for your mantle,
we can help take your project from imagined to enjoyed.
Havillah Shake is the place to get started.
A new era is upon the mill in 2017, one that provides more than before. We are adding an in-house workshop to create hand-made products: pre-made paneling, chicken and dog housing, garden structures, home accent and decor, and art. The aim of this workshop is to make products that are sourced from recycled materials, and kept out of packaging.
The mill is looking into the future even further by offering incentive programs for land clean-up,
making use of the local reservoir of unused materials, while putting cash into local pockets.
And, we don't let much leave the mill site as garbage, we have a use for almost all the scrap and refuse. Our sawdust gets bailed for bedding, compost or mulch. Our mill ends get used in the workshop for projects or sold as fire starter.
There is no end to the awesomeness of wood, come see us soon!
